Chinese Kite Pattern Generator

About these kite patterns

Chinese kites are built on a bamboo frame and painted with auspicious motifs. The swallow (shayan) is the classic Beijing kite: a broad head, swept wings and a forked tail. Butterfly and goldfish designs use the same balanced layout, with symmetrical wings and a patterned body. Everything here is drawn as vector shapes — the colours and patterns are suggestions, so adjust them to your own paper and paint.

Tip: print the SVG at 1:1 to use as a painting guide, or open it in a vector editor to resize the frame before building.
